Delete your account

You can delete your Hollowfind account any time. It can't be undone.

In the app

1. Open Hollowfind and go to Me.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
3. Read what will be deleted and confirm. You may be asked to sign in with Google or Apple once more. Guests aren't asked.

Your account is deleted right away, and you're signed out. If you're using Hollowfind as a guest, tapping Sign out does the same thing, since a guest account has no sign-in to come back to.

Without the app

Email hello@hollowfind.com from the email address you sign in with, and ask us to delete your account. If you can't send from that address, tell us which address it is and we'll find a way to confirm it's you. We'll delete it within 30 days and write back when it's done.

What gets deleted

• Your account: your sign-in and the name other people see.
• Every photo you've uploaded, approved or not.
• Fairy houses you added, with their history and photos, except the ones described below.
• Your name and notes on every visit you logged and every piece you moved.

What stays, without your name

• Public fairy houses. Approved houses on public land that show an exact pin stay on the map so others can keep visiting them. They no longer say who added them, and their cover photo is deleted with your other photos.
• Piece history. Pieces you claimed become unclaimed, so whoever has one can claim it. Each piece keeps its history of where it's been, without your name or notes. Stops at a house that was deleted are shown at town level.
• Visits. A visit you logged stays in a house's history as an anonymous visit.
• Backups. Our database backups roll over, so copies of deleted data are gone from them within 7 days.

Reports you've sent aren't linked to your account. If you included your email in one and want it removed, email us.
